Logistics Coordinator

Our client, a diverse injection moulding and plastics manufacturing company, seeking to employ a junior level Logistics and Supply Chain Coordinator at their plant in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.

This role is not a senior or management role but rather a junior management level position

Please note that due to the urgency to place this role, commitment to community upliftment and the lower level of the position, our client will only be reviewing candidates currently in the Cape Town or Winelands region.

You must be able to work independently and accurately keep records and be proactive in your approach to ensuring the profitability of the company.

• You must have Matric, coupled with 3-5 years experience in initiating, coordinating and enforcing policies and procedures relating to inventory and stock movement within a manufacturing plant.
• You will have proven experience in ensuring and maintaining stock accuracy, stock availability through suppliers and stock levels in the warehouse by being proactive and resolute in adherence to company policies, as well as be a star planner to ensure delivery schedules are adhered to and to eliminate production stoppages.
• You will have excellent problem solving skills, have a proven track record in resolving non-conformances and discrepancies, in both the in-bound and out-bound logistics department and be able to work proactively to ensure customer satisfaction and timeous deliveries.
• You will have had previous working experience in a fast paced and multi-faceted manufacturing environment
• You must have a valid driver’s license, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
