Logistics Controller - Fixed term Contract

SUMMARY:

An established manufacturer of agrochemicals is seeking a Temporary Logistics Administrator and Coordinator to manage the logistics function for depots and to assist with administrative functions related to the Crop Advisors.

POSITION INFO:


Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a post matric diploma in Logistics, Procurement, Distribution, Operations and/or Supply Chain
• Good organising, planning, analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills are important
• General knowledge of the agricultural chemical industry and related products will be required
• Must be computer literate in MS Office and Syspro

• Responding to stock requests received from Crop Advisors and Sales Agents.
• Expediting orders from suppliers.
• Communicating with Sales Agents and depot personnel regarding stock requests.
• Assisting with management of stock levels at Paarl and Crop Advisors warehouses.
• Arranging transport for stock requests and monitoring that Crop Advisors obtain the stock on time and in full.
• Following up on Goods Received Notes from Crop Advisors with direct deliveries and stock transfers (GIT’s).
• Participating in stocktakes and cycle counts in warehouse.
• Adhering to all legislation pertaining to the transport of dangerous and/or hazardous chemicals.
• Co-ordinate the movement of products as requested.
• Managing returns of stock with attention to product expiry dates upon depot request.
• Managing and updating records on .NET.
• Assisting with the completion of aged purchase orders.  
• Conforming to relevant SHEQ rules and regulations as per company policy.
• Assisting in maintaining all SHEQ Management Systems ratings.
• Investigating customer, crop advisor and depot complaints to ensure customer centricity.
• Reporting any complaints, with relevant actions taken to the Warehouse Team Leader.
• Reporting on outcome of investigations and resolution of problem to the Warehouse Team Leader.
• Ensuring continued communication throughout the process with the customer up to resolution of the problem, keeping the Warehouse Team Leader updated.
• Ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained in areas of responsibility.
