Logistics Assistant

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

Matric
Diploma in Field of Logistics will be an advantage

Requirements

5 Years'' working experience within the logistics field
Understanding of stores and stock control
Previous experience worling on Main Frame e.g. SAP
Experience on MRP / MPS system would be an advantage
Exposure to stock counting procedures
Basic Mathematics skills to conduct stock counts within a logistics enviroment
Strong attention to detail to detect billing errors on invoices

Duties

Sales order, customer order, quotation from supplier, purchase request, order confirmation
Generate invoice on Navision
When goods are late expediting with Buyer and update Navision system and Sales team
Send acknowledgement to customers with correct delivery dates
Print picking slips
Get signed POD after delivery
Ensure all original documentation is given to Accounts, keep a register accordingly
Follow up on manual delivery notes daily and get invoiced as soon as possible
Handle calls from courier companies and arrange transport
Switchboard duty on occasion
Other administrative duties from time to time
