Logistics & Procurement Manager

POSITION INFO:
My client is a well-known designer, manufacturer, and supplier of Smart Metering Systems, is seeking for a Logistics and Procurement Manager for their Procurement department. My client’s track record spans over 17 years’ and is testament of a company that has made remarkable strides in the innovation and development of Smart Metering Technologies.
 
The Logistics and Procurement Manager’s role is to meet sourcing and delivery objectives and requirements.
Develop and maintain Supplier’s quality, cost, timing, and technology expectations.
Monitor supplier financial performance and reporting compliance in the Pastel system.
Ensure KPA’s and KPI’s are identified, implemented, measured, and monitored in accordance with quality/business requirements.
Support supplier quality metrics and audits in accordance with ISO requirements.
Negotiate production piece prices, engineering design changes, and tooling costs.
Issue purchase orders, lump sum payments, and tool orders for production requirements on a timely basis.
Ensuring that all orders are delivered within SLA.
Managing both internal and external stakeholders.
Full understanding of commodity fundamentals, which influence product cost, piece price, quality, performance, and capacity.
Well-developed business acumen and finance knowledge to ensure that accurate sourcing decisions are made.
Minimum qualification requirements and skills:

• Must have a tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain or Engineering
• Pastel plus other MRP/ERP systems experience
• Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO14000
• 5-10 years’ experience in a FMCG, Manufacturing/Assembly environment
• Experience in sourcing electronics, moulded and steel components will be an added advantage.
