Job Summary:
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on, and enthusiastic couple to fill a dual role as Lodge Anchor and Guide/Maintenance Support at our remote safari lodge. This is an exciting opportunity for a couple who enjoys a diverse work environment combining guest interaction with light guiding and general maintenance tasks.
Lodge Anchor:
- Hosting guests and managing front-of-house lodge duties
- Assisting with basic lodge maintenance and upkeep
- Light guiding and guest activities (bush walks, game drives if qualified)
- Overseeing lodge operations when management is off-site
- Stock control and support in housekeeping/kitchen when needed
Maintenance Support:- Maintenance in and around the camp
- Maintenance in and around the staff quarters
- Including but not limited to Electrical, Plumbing, and Building etc.
- Meticulous in starting and completing projects
- Assist around the camp in other departments as required
- Able to work independently without supervision
- Driver when required
Minimum Requirements:- Matric (Grade 12)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team
- Hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset
- Valid driver’s license (PDP an advantage)
- Previous lodge/hospitality or guiding/maintenance experience preferred
- FGASA Level 1 or maintenance background a strong advantage, but not essential
