Locum Occupational Nurse

SUMMARY:
My client in the banking industry is requiring the services of a trained and experienced occupational health nurse to assist the bank with Covid-19 requirements. Screening of walk-in patients as well as tracking and tracing on all positive cases. Furthermore, require professional assistance to manage patient files and ensure that all relevant documentation is completed in line with the necessary legislative reporting.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:
The successful supplier must at minimum be able to provide the following:
- Analyzing daily screening Excel spreadsheet from My focus received from Wellness. Phoning all high-risk patients based on the screening for branches and submit medical fitness report to Wellness on all patients identified after the call as still high risk.
- Daily Screening Walk in patients form 06h00 - 16h00 - open patient file and submit medical fitness report to Wellness bases on the outcome of the consultation.
- Running call with affected person and NICD and tracking and tracing on all positive cases & open and manage patient file to ensure that all relevant documentation is filled in which is requires for the external legislative reporting.
- Handle all calls/messages received from the COVID-19 call centre and return the patient calls and consult with the patient form the COVID 19 Mailbox.
- Send daily report to Wellness Team on cases/calls handled.
- Ensure case files are updated and prepared for Legal Requirement reporting.
- Legal Compliance reporting (DOL, NOIH, DOH,) – sister to ensure that the correct information required for external reporting is correctly completed and handed over to the Wellness team for reporting to the DOL, NOIH, DOH. Ensure that documentation required for COID reporting is handed over to the Health and Safety department for reporting to the Workman''s Compensation.
- Follow-up on positive cases.
- Follow-up on those referred to Doctor.
- Purchase professional indemnity insurance from the Democratic Nursing Organization of South Africa (DENOSA), register at the South African Society of Occupational Health Nursing Practitioners (SASOHN) and with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
