SUMMARY:
We are looking for a System Administrator to join our team and offer system support and administration to meet the organization and user requirements.

Your primary duties will include maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary. You will also be working closely with the users of our network in order to identify potential issues and fix existing problems.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSET:

1 -3 years of experience working in a similar role.

3-year degree/diploma in the technology field will be an advantage

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Process-oriented with great documentation skills.

Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.

A good understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.

Familiarity with the below technologies will be ideal:

Linux/Unix, MacOS operating systems.

Advanced networking (QOS, VPN, VLANS, 802.11X) with Mikrotik Routers.

Knowledge of Python would be an advantage.

AWS experience is advantageous.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Server Administration

Provide day-to-day system administration support to assigned systems, new deployments of systems, test, and evaluation of hardware and maintain system documentation.

Provide an architectural framework for information system development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts.

Plan and monitor the optimizing of system operation and resource utilization and perform systems capacity analysis and planning.

Coordinate and perform installations and upgrades to layered software packages.

Continually monitor and tune multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.

Assist in network design and implementation.

Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.

Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching.

Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure.

Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.

Backup and recovery strategies for all aspects of the operational environment.

General Support

Consult with employees on issues relative to procedures, technical problems, and methodologies.

Onboarding and maintenance of employees on our SSO management platform.

Create technical support documentation for systems and applications.

Automate any manual processes where required.
