SUMMARY:
We require a Level 4 Security Engineer MS Azure AZ-500 to work in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

The role of the Level 4 Security Engineer (AZ-500 Microsoft Azure Security Technologies) encompasses many activities including, but not limited to:

  • Collaboration Security
  • Network Security
  • Vulnerability Management Security
  • Security Analytics
  • Ability to perform supervisory role and know when to escalate matters.
  • Have good leadership abilities and able to influence and collaborate with lower level and less experienced engineers and WCG IT teams to resolve issues.
  • Excellent ability to plan, schedule and monitor own work responsibilities.
  • Have excellent analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent understanding of wired network, wireless network and cloud computing.
  • Have an exceptional technical aptitude.
  • Pay attention to detail and examine technical issues from all angles.
  • Strong programming and computer networking skills to understand the various hacking techniques. Ability to work with “white hat” hackers.
  • Exceptional ability to examine technical problems.
  • Exceptional ability to clearly articulate complex concepts (both written and verbally).
  • Very knowledgeable about privacy and security regulations.
  • Strong ability to gain insight from data and log analytic.
  • Strong ability to identify, remediate and respond to anomalies on the network.
  • Ability to collaborate and work as a part of a team.
  • Ability to be self-managed, ethical and honest.
  • Ability to be respectful and seek to build relationships.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Good reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or applicable courses.
  • More than 5 years’ experience in:
    1) Implementing security controls and threat protection.
    2) Managing identity and access.
    3) Protecting data, applications networks in cloud and hybrid environments.
    4) Maintaining enterprise security posture by identifying and remediating vulnerabilities by implementing threat protection.
    5) MS Security product suite, including, but not limited to, Defender, Defender ATP, Bitlocker, PKI, Intune, Sentinel to compliment the security team and enhance the security posture.
  • Microsoft Azure Security Technologies Certification AZ-500.
