Legislation Contract Officer

SUMMARY:
Our client has an EE opportunity available for a Legislation Contract Officer, based in the Tshwane area. This will be fixed term contract for 12 months.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• NQF 6 / equivalent qualification (Disaster Risk Management, Public Management, Development Studies, Knowledge / Information Management or Law)
• 3-5 years relevant experience in disaster management or a policy compliance field.

Key Performance Areas:

• Support the operations of the Disaster Operations Centre during period of activation.
• Develop guidelines, norms and standards in relation to disaster management
• Mainstreaming disaster risk reduction across sectors of government.
• Conduct policy research and analysis
• Develop reporting templates, structures to standardize reporting across sectors
• Obtain, collate, analyse and submit reports to appropriate structures;
• Conduct periodic reviews of compliance performance of disaster management centres across the spheres of government
• Formulate intervention strategies
• Report accordingly and develop and prepare draft documents, briefing notes and input for political principles.
