SUMMARY:
Junior Legal Bookkeeper

POSITION INFO:

Duties

Full Debtors and Creditors function
Trust and Business Bank Accounts
VAT and SARS Submissions
Month end and Year end tasks
Payroll function
Reporting: Prepare Fee reports, creditors and debtors
Drawings: Prepare reporting and load payments for partner drawings.
General Finance Administration

Requirements:

Matric.
Accounting or Bookkeeping qualification advantageous.
Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a Legal Bookkeeper.
Experience working within a law firm with trust bookkeeping is essential.
Proficiency in Software AJS/Ghost Practice is required.
Sage Payroll experience advantageous
Advanced Excel skills.
Strong understanding of VAT, SARS submissions, trust rules and legal compliance.
Strong ability to manage high volumes and complexity.
Excellent communication skills and professional email etiquette.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong time management, problem-solving and organisational skills.
Able to work independently and use initiative.
