Experience:
v3-5 years PQE in a legal & banking environment.
Professional Registrations:
vOverall broad legal knowledge.
vKnowledge of Corporate/ Commercial/ Credit.
vUnderstanding transactional deal structures.

vCommunication and analytical skills.
vDrafting and editing skills.
vAble to draft and vet contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities/Tasks:
vAssist the legal team in responding to a wide range of day-today legal tasks
vLegal implementation of credit, lending, corporate banking and invoice discounting transactions, including drafting and reviewing financing and security documents, inter-creditor agreements, preference share agreements, security documentation, constitutional documents.
vAdvising the bank on the legal aspects of transactions/deal flow as well as continued research into various aspects of the law and regulatory framework impacting on the legal viability of the transactions/deal flow.
vDrafting and vetting of various agreements on behalf of the Bank.
vLegal Opinions and advice.
vLoan Management and Debt Recovery (Pre-Litigation & Litigation).
vManagement of Litigation in conjunction with team.
vAssisting with the IT, Compliance and Risk portfolios.
vLiaising with external attorneys and regulators.
vLegal analysis and research.
vAssisting with various legal projects as instructed.
vAttendance to (PASA) and (BASA) meetings and submission of all relevant feedback and comments timeously.
vCollating of comments on legislative changes and providing updates to relevant divisions.
vProvide a wide variety of administrative and operational support to the legal team.
vDrafting and reviewing of guarantees in conjunction with the Guarantees Teams.
vProviding legal opinions on guarantees.
vLegal Compliance and contract management.
vHigh level contract administration and support to the divisions across the Bank.
vPerform other duties as required.
