CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

To teach Leadership & Management and Social Sciences at undergraduate and post graduate level. To contribute to Faculty administration as required.

• Facilitation of teaching students how to teach Leadership & Management at undergraduate and post graduate studies.
• Facilitation of teaching students how to teach Social Sciences at undergraduate and post graduate studies.
• A sound knowledge of strategies for assessing learning in Leadership & Management
• A sound knowledge of strategies for assessing learning in Social Sciences
• Ability to adapt Leadership & Management teaching to the diversity of interests and aptitudes of students
• Ability to adapt Social Sciences teaching to the diversity of interests and aptitudes of students
• Ability to develop teaching materials in Leadership & Management, and in Social Sciences
• Active presentation of research papers at conferences
• Conducting scholarly work with an increasing focus on Africanisation and decolonization of Leadership & Management and Social Sciences

REQUIREMENTS

• Possession of academic qualifications in Leadership and Management as well as Social Sciences

• Experience in teaching Social Sciences at school level
• A sound disciplinary and content knowledge in Social Sciences

Senior Lecturer:

• PHD degree in Education or equivalent for Senior Lecturer
• Experience (1-5 years) in teaching Leadership and Management as well as Social Sciences at university level will be an added advantage

• Experience in supervising or co-supervising students at post graduate level for Senior Lecturer
• Proven research record for Senior Lecturer

Lecturer:

• M Ed or equivalent for Lecturer
• Experience (2+ years) in teaching Leadership and Management as well as Social Sciences at university level will be an added advantage
