CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

To teach Leadership & Management and History at undergraduate and post graduate level. To contribute to Faculty administration as required.

• Facilitation of teaching students how to teach Leadership & Management at undergraduate and post graduate studies.
• Facilitation of teaching students how to teach History at undergraduate and post graduate studies.
• A sound knowledge of strategies for assessing learning in Leadership & Management
• A sound knowledge of strategies for assessing learning in History
• Ability to adapt Leadership & Management teaching to the diversity of interests and aptitudes of students
• Ability to adapt History teaching to the diversity of interests and aptitudes of students
• Ability to develop teaching materials in Leadership & Management, and in History
• Active presentation of research papers at conferences
• Conducting scholarly work with an increasing focus on Africanisation and decolonization of Leadership & Management and History

REQUIREMENTS

• PHD degree in Education or equivalent for Senior Lecturer plus 1-5 years of relevant working experience.    
• M Ed or equivalent for Lecturer
• Experience in teaching History at school level
• Experience in teaching Leadership and Management as well as History at university will be an added advantage
• A sound disciplinary and content knowledge in History

• Possession of academic qualifications in Leadership and Management as well as History
• Experience in supervising or co-supervising students at post graduate level for Senior Lecturer
• Proven research record for Senior Lecturer
