POSITION INFO:

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

To facilitate and administer the learning process for students in modules presented at undergraduate and postgraduate level. To do research and contribute to community engagement in line with the core functions and values of the university.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • To facilitate the learning and teaching processes and outcomes of the department.
  • To conduct research.
  • To perform administration.

CORE COMPETENCIES

 

  • Sound knowledge in the theory and application of Financial Planning principles.
  • Some experience at facilitating learning and teaching at undergraduate level.
  • Potential to facilitate learning at postgraduate level.
  • Potential to contribute to the creation of knowledge by virtue of publications and the supervising of postgraduate research studies.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

In order to be considered for appointment to this post at Lecturer level, the potential candidate must have a relevant Master’s degree, at least 2 years relevant work experience and knowledge in the field of Financial Planning (Principles of Retirement Planning, Principles of Estate Planning, Corporate Financial Planning, Investment Management, Risk Management).

In order to be considered for appointment to this post at Associate Lecturer level, the potential candidate must have a relevant Honours’ degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning, with at least 1 year relevant work experience and knowledge in the field of Financial Planning (Principles of Retirement Planning, Principles of Estate Planning, Corporate Financial Planning, Investment Management, Risk Management).
