To teach Mathematics and Mathematics Literacy at Under- and Postgraduate level and contribute to faculty research and administration as required.

• Facilitation of teaching students how to teach Mathematics and Mathematics Literacy Education in B Ed IP, B Ed SP/FET and PGCE programmes
• A sound knowledge of strategies for assessing learning in Mathematics and Mathematics Literacy Education
• Ability to adapt Mathematics and Mathematics Literacy Education teaching to the diversity of interests and aptitudes of students
• Ability to develop teaching materials in Mathematics and Mathematics Literacy Education

• Sound knowledge of integrating and facilitating Mathematics and Mathematics Literacy Education in B Ed IP, B Ed SP/FET and PGCE programmes in technology enabled environment platforms.
• Conducting scholarly work with an increasing focus on Africanization and decolonization of Mathematics and Mathematics Literacy Education by writing or contributing individually or collaboratively to accredited publications as well as presentation at conferences.

REQUIREMENTS

• Possession of academic qualifications in Mathematics and Mathematics Literacy Education
• Experience in teaching Mathematics and Mathematics Literacy Education at school level
• A sound disciplinary and content knowledge in Mathematics and Mathematics Literacy Education
• M Ed or equivalent for Lecturer
• Experience (2+ years) in teaching Mathematics and Mathematics Literacy Education at school, and university level will be an added advantage
• Demonstrate ability to teach and assess in technology enabled environment
