SUMMARY:
Our client in the Public Service Sector has an opportunity available for a Language Editor to be based in the Pretoria area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Journalism or related field
• English Certificate in Technical Report Writing
• Registration with a reputable body of editors, such as Professional Editors Group or similar
• An exemplary track record of at least five (5) years'' experience
• Traceable track record in language editing
• General understanding of the energy industry.
• Previous experience in manuscriptIdocument appraisal and face to face feedback or training
• In-depth knowledge of language editinq
• Report Writing
• Language Editing
• Communication (Verbal and Written)
• Computer Literacy

• Provide, editing various written reports, publications and documents produced by staff members'', services to the Heads of Departments within Corporate Services Division
• Clarifying meaning, eliminating jargon, polishing language by editing for grammar, usage, spelling, punctuation and other mechanics of style
• Checking for consistency of mechanics and for internal consistency of facts
• Editing documents, reports, publications etc.
• Checking proofs or final formatted, edited material for adherence to design and for minor, mechanical errors in copy
