Labour Resource Person

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Public Service Sector has an opportunity available for a Labour Resource Person to be based in the Johannesburg area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Economics, Development economics, Business management or social science
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
• High level conceptual and policy analytical skills
• Writing and editing skills
• Research skills
• Experience in the Trade Union Movement will be an advantage
• Computer skills
• Drivers license
• Strong organizational and personal management skills
• Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Able to travel extensively Nationally
• Strong work ethic

• Coordinate the implementation of labour’s commitments to the economic recovery and reconstruction plan (ERRP), which include commitments pertaining to localisation, energy security and mass public employment etc
• Provide resource support to unions to achieve targets
• Facilitate the capacity building programmes around various aspects of the plan for unions
• Develop press releases related to key implementation milestones
• Advise and support labour unions
• Train unions on the ERRP
• Drafting of project plans
