SUMMARY:
Our client is recruiting for a Laboratory Technician for a 2 year fixed term contract in their Howick Lab.
POSITION INFO:
Testing and analysis of samples;
Monitor test and daily procedures as per quality control protocols;
Compile relevant reports;
Instrument and equipment maintenance;
Receiving, sorting, storing, retrieval and shipping of samples;
Method/test validation;
Preparation of specimen kits;
Biohazardous waste management
Laboratory Technician – Microbiology or Clinical Pathology certified;
Current registration with Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA);
At least 2 years previous laboratory experience in Microbiology or Clinical Pathology Laboratory;
Experience working with and handling infectious samples;
Experience working on GeneXpert machine;
Previous clinical trial experience
