SUMMARY:
Analyst for Key Accounts

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Analyst is responsible for delivering outputs for key accounts. This includes:

Conducting the analysis
Interpretation of data
Releasing of test results
Keeping client informed telephonically or by email
Quality control
PT scheme participation
Becoming a technical signatory
Working overtime and weekends on short notice

Requirements:

Relevant tertiary qualification.
At least 10 years’ experience in an analytical laboratory environment that conducts analysis on foodstuffs and a broad range of other products.
Experience in a range of analytical testing including wet chemistry methods.
Experience in ISO17025 is a must, experience as a technical signatory will be an advantage.
Working knowledge of and experience in operating and maintaining an HPLC.
Data interpretation and report writing.
Method development and validation, including concomitant compiling and documenting methods.
Knowledge and competence in using all Microsoft packages including MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Outlook and Internet.

Unquestionable work ethic and initiative.

Neat and orderly documentation and record keeping.
Understanding of the client’s situation and commitment to meeting client turnaround times to deliver client results at the required standard.
Very good communication skills and the ability to communicate with clients, staff and management.
Must have own transport.
