Our client operate mostly in rural communities in and around South Africa and Eswatini specializing in commercial & residential property development.

Job Description

In this position you will be required to work in rural areas in Mpumalanga and KwaZulu Natal. You will be expected to operate by yourself, reporting to contracts manager at times.  Your responsibilities will include:

• Understanding of:
  • Site Deployment.
  • Civil Earthworks.
  • Structural Steel Works.
  • Structural Concrete.
  • Different Roofing Methodologies.
  • Services packages including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing
  • Finishing Schedules.
  • External Works.

• Liaising with Local Community & Local Authorities and Councils during development.
• Liaising with clients.
• Be able to read and digest technical drawings and report any design deficits.
• Manage Daily Site Diaries, reporting on progress.
• Manage Site Materials and Resources.
• Supervising construction workers & subcontractors.
• Managing the Construction Programme.
• Conducting quality and safety inspections.
• Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise.
• Working on-site in all weathers, at clients’ businesses or in a site office.

Critical – Understand that Living Out on secluded areas for work is required.

Qualifications

• BSc/BTech/Diploma in Building / Construction Management

Skills

• Minimum 5 years'' experience
• MS Projects and CCS (Candy)
