SUMMARY:
Join a large retailer in Kempton Park as an experienced Logistics Engineer.

POSITION INFO:

Initiating and implementing new logistics engineering projects across the supply chain for the group
Working cross functionally with the DC and the Delivery team
Team to optimise total logistics cost and delivery lead-time
Initiating new logistics projects within the logistics network to reduce labour cost and improve efficiency
Reducing material handling & packaging cost through engineering projects within the DC
Benchmarking with other retailers and e-commerce businesses to improve operations and reduce logistics cost
Initiating continuous improvement projects within the logistics network
Facilitating logistics tenders with 3PL service providers on both the inbound and outbound logistics network
Reducing and optimising the inter DC logistics network and hub network costs
Working collaboratively with the delivery team to optimise the outbound supply chain network.
Support the submission of the Logistics Budget with regards to Fleet, Pickup points, Hub
Network expansion, Capex projects and other related items
