SUMMARY:

A fruit marketing and logistics company in the Breede River Valley, requires the services of a dedicated and motivated person to take responsibility for the logistics function.

JOB DESCRIPTION:


RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Packaged Inventory Control and Management
  • Compilation and updating of marketing plan as package programs change
  • Managing customer programs and communicating packaging lists
  • Ship planning and handling of necessary documentation
  • Scheduling of containers and transport from cold rooms
  • Manage and control unloading Instructions - communicate with various cold rooms
  • Communication to PPECB for container unloading
  • Control and communication of local programs and keeping track of progress schedules
  • Invoicing
  • Crop estimates
  • General support where needed
 
REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • Matric / Grade 12 qualification
  • Appropriate postgraduate qualification
  • 2 - 3 years logistics coordination experience
  • Knowledge of debtors and export administration will be useful
  • Good computer skills (Excel knowledge is a requirement)
  • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
