LO Teacher/Counsellor

SUMMARY:
Life Orientation Senior & FET Teacher required.
Required to take on school counselling responsibilities 
Appointment January 2022

POSITION INFO:

Successful candidates must:-

• Have an appropriate academic and professional qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
• At least 3 years’ experience in teaching the specific subjects to the relevant phase.
• Experience required in the counselling field 
• Current SACE registration.
• Be able to plan, control, record and report on Assessments.
• Be able to create an educational atmosphere in the classroom.
• Have good management, planning and administrative skills
• Have a clear criminal record (essential)
• Have a personal commitment to education and a willingness to contribute to the values and ethos of the School (essential)
• Have good IT skills and comfortable using technology in the classroom
• be innovative, energetic and a committed educator
• be willing to participate in all aspects of the school’s life as well as being a team player
• be willing to assume the duties associated with the positon of a teacher as well as other identified tasks that are within the skill set of the applicant
