Kontak Recruitment is currently sourcing and recruiting for a LMS Administrator vacancy based in Century City, Cape Town. The Learning Management System Administrator will take care of the operational performance of the LMS on a daily basis and provide support on ongoing operations of LMS.

Data management skills

data migration, upload of new content, enrolments, assigning roles, LMS dashboard and navigations, as well as LMS software integrations and collaboration tools

Project management experience to liaise between teams, such as customer care (Customer service and Academic Support) development, to handle requests, track and report on LMS statistics

LMS technical trouble shooting, to solve software issues and configure the LMS to make the most of the system. 

Work with everyday requests and problems.

Interpersonal Skills to liaise horizontally with peers in teams related to LMS functionality and upward to managers for the reporting of performance statistics.

Analytical skills to assess performance from different angles to decide the best approach.  Need to know how to allocate resources and assigning the correct team members to the task, based on their talents.

Competencies for LMS Administrator:

Networker/ Project manager skills

Technical skills acumen competent on LMS systems, configuration, course, and student management, with the ability to create in-depth statistical reports

Experience with Moodle LMS

Experience with customer services

Experience and skill in creating statistical reports and operational conclusions

User regency, frequency, duration, virility, and rating

Measure duration since last access and the shift in student numbers. 

Measure the rate/how often a typical student accesses the LMS. 

Measure the duration and time-of-day that users come and how long they spend on the LMS, and the amount of communication taking place on forums, i.e. communication virility. 

Measure, what user think of their facilitators and they feedback

Pass rates, assignment scores, test results, and completion times

Student progress reports that show progress as an indication of the appropriateness of course content and the performance of students.

Time to Proficiency

Measure the effectiveness of the course by the time to proficiency to validate the efficacy of the instructional design as a function of the outcome of the proficiency grading.

Instructor/ facilitator Effectiveness

Track learner competency per instructor/ facilitator, student reviews, and the instructor/ facilitator’s responses to student questions to see how active and knowledgeable they are.

Add, maintain, and remove programs from the LMS and ensure this correlate with marketing product pages on WooCommerce and the Product Development Unit’s delivery.

LMS course content is up to date, relevant, and synchronised with the PDU and marketing content from a contextual, content, price, and schedule perspective.

Report LMS statistics with comprehension of Sales metrics

Compile a daily trending report with the (above) metrics and correlate them with sales statistics in order to draw a correlation between our sales and student experience.
