LEVEL 2 REMOTE IT SUPPORT ENGINEER - Remote, Cape Town - R23 000- R28 000 pm neg
Leading technology solutions provider based in the United Kingdom seeks a Level 2 Remote IT Support Technician. As a Level 2 Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues for our clients through remote support channels. You will provide hands-on technical assistance, deliver timely solutions, and offer exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote technical support to clients, resolving complex issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems by analyzing error logs, system events, and user information.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, ensuring high customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.
- Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams or senior technicians for further investigation and resolution.
- Collaborate with other IT support staff to share knowledge, best practices, and provide effective solutions.
- Document support activities, including incident details, resolutions, and relevant troubleshooting steps, in the ticketing system.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT support to enhance personal and team knowledge.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, providing remote IT support in a professional environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and other networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365 administration.
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- A proactive approach to learning and keeping up-to-date with the latest technology trends.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., A+, N+, MCSE Microsoft Certified Professional) OR a National Diploma.
