SUMMARY:
The position is for an experienced technical sales person to provide representation for the supplier to the life science and food industry. The person will be part of a highly technical and motivated team that sells and supports these analytical products

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications and experience:

Grade 12 and a tertiary qualification in biochemistry, microbiology, genetics or similar sciences.
A proven sales track record in the sales of laboratory instrumentation is required
At least 3 years’ experience in high technology laboratory instrumentation

KPA’s:

Responsible for the sales of life science and related equipment
Represent the company professionally and technically in accounts in the assigned territory
Acceptance of a sales quota for the territory
Liaison with customers on sales issues and activities
Quotation generation and configuration of new instruments and systems
Prospecting for new business and lead generation
Maintain business contact with existing customers

Manage and allocate resources as necessary in team selling into strategic accounts
