L1 Support Desk Engineer x 2

SUMMARY:
Position: Level 1 IT Security Support Desk Engineer - International Company with Country Regional Office based in Port Elizbeth Eastern Cape. Company currently seeking a motivated, innovative and dedicated L1 Support Desk Engineer (Tier 1/2) to join 24x7 front-line technical team in Port Elizabeth.

Must have 1st Line / Level 1 support experience

CCNA or CCNP certified

Experience with entrprise wired and wireless netwworking. accesspoints etc Wxperience working with the likes of : Aruba, CISCO, Meru, Ruckus 

The key responsibilities of a L1 Support Desk Engineer include, but are not limited to:

• Perform troubleshooting providing "hands on" initial diagnosis.
• Liaise with other team members, 2nd/ 3rd line plus manufacturers ( Aruba, Palo Alto).
• Adhere to Change Request processes when making changes to production systems.
• Perform basic Upgrades, Administration, Configuration and troubleshooting tasks on one or more of the following:
  • Wired and Wireless Technologies
  • Firewalls
  • SIEM Solutions
  • Troubleshooting network issues – wired and wireless
  • Understand Network fundamentals – VLAN’s, Setting up VPN, Configure Network switches
  • Firewalls – Setting up, troubleshooting and upgrading ( Palo Alto, Fortigate, Checkpoint etc)
  • Experience on SIEM – Security Information Event Management System
  • End point security (enterprise) Palo Alto  Cortex XDR, McAfee, CISCO, Trend Micro, etc
