SUMMARY:
Cosmetic contract manufacturing company seeks a strong full function Key Accounts Manager to join their team based in Midrand. You will be responsible for developing trust relationships with current and future portfolio of our company’s major clients. Acquiring a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.

Cosmetic contract manufacturing company seeks a strong full function Key Accounts Manager to join their team based in Midrand. You will be responsible for developing trust relationships with the current and future portfolio of our company’s major clients. Acquiring a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements. Expanding the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions to meet their objectives. Analyze, report, and engage with each customer account to understand market trends, establish strengths and weaknesses and create meaningful solutions.

The successful incumbent must have Key Accounts and basic CRM understands and a minimum of 5 years solid experience.

Marketing understanding and exposure would be an advantage.

The ideal candidate will be apt in building strong relationships with strategic customers. To be able to identify needs and requirements to promote our company’s solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction. The goal is to contribute toward sustaining and expanding our business to achieve long term success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to any other service provider.
  • Expand existing relationships by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Acquire a thorough understand of key customers’ needs and requirements.
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long lasting relationships.
  • Responsibilities include growing the company''''''''s revenue by ensuring that key clients are satisfied with the services provided, identifying new business opportunities for key clients, and attending all meetings, conventions and training workshops.
  • Communicating and collaborating with the advertising, design, marketing, sales, and logistics departments to ensure that key clients’ needs are met.
  • Lead point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate the client’s needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the client are met, and help the client succeed.
  • Generating new business from existing clients or contacts and will develop new relationships with potential clients.
  • Collaborating with the team and management to maximize profit by up-selling or cross-selling.
  • Collating and filing of required tasks to support the General Manager which may vary from time to time.
  • Maintaining diary management and arranging appointments for the General Manager.
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
  • Analyse data and sales statistics and improve business and marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will be required to manage multiple key accounts without compromising on the quality of services provided.
  • Anticipating key account changes and improvements.
  • Negotiating contracts with the client and establishing a timeline of performance.
  • Establishing and overseeing internal budgets with the company and external budgets with the client.
  • Planning and presenting reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training.
  • Use CRM tools and information available to analyse, interpret and make suggestions for each key account.
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly reporting using company guidelines.
  • Able to analyse data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions.

Requirements

  • Individual must possess a minimum of 5 years combined Sales, Client Relations & Key Accounts experience
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience
  • Must have own transport and phone
  • Must be able to work on MS Office programs
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Excellent command of English both written and verbal, speech clarity
  • Must be a good listener, presenter and a people’s person 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport with customers
  • Previous sales experience and an organised approach to work
  • Hardworking with a strong work ethic
  • Attention to detail; organization, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiable skills, with ability to follow through on client contracts
  • Ability to multitasks and manage more than one key account
  • Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals
  • Proficiency in English both written and verbal
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to details.

We are looking for someone who has high energy levels and who is passionate about demonstrating service excellence. Relevant skills and background is a must. At least 5 years’ experience in a similar environment. Performance driven; relationship building; goal orientated and have the ability to work independently, excellent communication skills and a positive attitude a must have!
