SUMMARY:
Our client in the East Rand is looking to fill in a position for a Key Account Manager to be based in Rustenburg.

POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the Job

  • To procure business from new and existing customers, manage agents and ensure sound relationships with the entire customer base.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Building sound customer relationships (ongoing).
  • Soliciting new customers - Cold calling and breaking into new customers.
  • Driving sales - meeting and exceeding sales budgets.
  • Marketing and growing existing and new business.
  • Maintaining and updating sales budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintaining sales opportunities and converting opportunities into orders.
  • Provide input to price negotiation.
  • Handling of customer quotations, complaints and queries.
  • Technical advice and training – including presentations and training to customers.
  • Checking of batteries, voltages and SG’s.
  • Manage responsible budgets.
  • Assisting with adjudication of warranties.
  • Follow-up on deliveries.
  • Management of agents/distributors.
  • Provide input to the business plan to ensure sales sustainability and growth.
  • Setup and maintain contact schedule of each customer contact persons (name, surname, title, shaft number, site, email, telephone, cellphone)

 Region

  • Preference would be given to candidates resides in the Rustenburg, North West region or willing to relocate to the North West. 
  • National Diploma or higher qualification with 2 to 4 years or more sales related experience is essential.
  • Preference would be given to candidates with a college certificate/diploma in Sales & Marketing
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of packages (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Proficient in and demonstrable use of online media (i.e. LinkedIn, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or similar media)
  • Good sales track record and strong communication skills.
  • Mining background will be a definite advantage.
  • Long distance travelling requiring early departure times.
  • Periodic sleep overs when visiting distant customers.
  • International travel to various African countries
