SUMMARY:
A well-established logistics business is seeking to appoint a Kaizen Technician.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of tools and equipment to improve operational processes and member ergonomics.
Responsible for ensuring that all repairs, fitments, customization, spray painting and quality inspections are conducted according to company and quality standards and procedures.
Ensure vehicles are spray painted according to company and quality standards and requirements; and assist in developing standard operating procedures for spray painting procedures in line with vehicle quality standards.
Conduct paint-less dent removal repairs in line with customer requirements using correct PDR tools; Conduct SMART and SPOT repairs;
Conduct mechanical inspections on vehicles if required; and assist in developing standard operating procedures for SMART repairs.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Grade 12
Standox, PPG or Spies Hecker spray painting qualification advantageous
Able to work in a team framework
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work under pressure as well as work flexible hours, may be required to work weekends and overtime
A valid Code B (08) driver’s licence with no endorsements
PDR certification
At least 1 year relevant experience in vehicle logistics environment
Must have basic computer knowledge (Full MS Suite,)
Familiar with Kaizen Methodology
Welding and metal work experience
