SUMMARY:
Management of key accounts and the sales of finished products used in the Consumer and Packaging industries

POSITION INFO:

KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER – KZN

Area: Durban

Overview: Management of key accounts and the sales of finished products used in the Consumer and Packaging industries as well as intermediate products to manufacturing concerns

Duties:

  • Researches and gathers appropriate information on target markets to qualified leads and plans and executes an effective sales approach
  • Represents the Company at different trade shows.
  • Able to cultivate strong relationships
  • Conducts sales trips in their specific areas
  • Generates and facilitates leads
  • Prepares customized proposals and conducts presentations
  • Maintains a well-informed working knowledge of all product ranges, production workflow, warrantee and guarantee, etc.
  • Generates sales reports
  • Responsible for timely follow up and on-going sales relationships with qualified clients to ensure ROI
  • Actively contribute to teamwork
  • Supervise and control resources effectively to support customer delivery requirements and Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Ensure KPIs are met by working to the overall plan
  • Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicate with stakeholders the impact of market change, product changes and potential effects on customer complaints.
  • Liaise and communicate with other departments to ensure effectiveness in resolving customer care complaints
  • Feedback to the Management
  • Support, comply and ensure complicity with the warranty and guarantee agreements of the Company

 

Qualifications and experience:

  • Grade 12 
  • Customer Care and or Marketing diploma, degree and or relevant experience (advantageous)
  • At least 5 years’ experience within Customer Care/ Sales/ Brand Ambassador environment
  • Must have experience with dealing with Senior Management
  • Packing experience (advantageous)
  • Valid driver’s license. (Unendorsed) with own reliable vehicle
  • Willing to travel throughout KZN (nationwide when needed)
  • Must be able to pursue new business opportunities
  • Preference will be given to AA applicants
