POSITION INFO:

Junior Technical Copy Writer (IT/Cybersecurity)
Johannesburg

VERY IMPORTANT: This is a role for someone that understands the broader things about IT. You will be taking on this role with relevant qualifications pertaining to writing.

This role would ideally be suited to a graduate who is possibly looking to build their career within the cybersecurity space being involved in all kinds of writing projects.

Requirements:
* Graduated, with relevant qualification, i.e writing qualification, etc
* Have good written and interpersonal skills, which includes good English grammar, sentences syntax and formatting
* Good understanding of reviewing and editing work products written by others
* Adequate Microsoft skills, i.e Word, PowerPoint, etc
* Be able to work well under deadlines
* Have an eye for detail
* Technical/IT understanding

Some duties you will be involved in:
* Writing clear and error-free content for a website that reflects the company’s voice
* Assist with providing professional technical writing and editing services on materials such as informational products, presentations, press releases, reports, etc.
* Interpreting creative direction and technical information and turning them into persuasive copy concepts
* Research highly technical information and gather input from cybersecurity team members, etc
* Collaborating with PR and Marketing departments to brainstorm and develop a variety of marketing materials
* Support the development of targeted and strategic communications collateral (e.g. Annual Reports, monthly operational newsletters, etc).
* Reviewing and proofing your work to ensure your copy is high-quality, clean, and error-free

* Passion/interest to write about cybersecurity topics
* Wanting to become a brand expert through great writing
* Understanding the utilization of SEO best practices in your writing including the body, headings, titles and meta descriptions
