Junior/Trainee Developer
Job Brief
- We are looking for a person to join our small but expanding Microsoft-based software development team, preferably with 2 years of work experience, though this can be waived if you have the right aptitude.
- Our current development stack is Microsoft-based, using MS SQL, Visual Studio 2026, C++, and C# Blazor, although Linux with PostgreSQL is on the horizon.
Responsibilities- Development of C++ desktop applications for our in-house ERP system.
- Collaborate with other developers in the team.
- Assist with software testing and quality control.
- Continuous development of coding skills and knowledge. Learning new technologies, programming languages, frameworks, and systems is essential.
POSITION INFO:
Ideal Requirements for the Perfect Candidate
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with higher-grade-level (pure) mathematics being advantageous.
- Top-tier attention to detail.
- Experience with at least one AI, preferably other than ChatGPT.
- Ability to write clean, efficient code in at least one modern programming language (e.g., C++, SQL, C#, Python, etc.).
- Learning new technologies, programming languages, frameworks, and systems is essential.
- Thorough understanding of database design, normalisation, and relational database concepts.
- Hands-on experience writing and optimising SQL stored procedures.
- Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle or similar development methodologies.
- Profound understanding of OOP principles and design patterns.
- Ability with source control systems such as Git.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for efficiently identifying and resolving software issues.
- Solid knowledge of software testing principles, including unit testing and integration testing.
- Well-developed communication and teamwork skills.
- Operational ability to work independently, while maintaining productivity and quality of work.
- Real experience with API integration and web services (REST/JSON).
