About the Role

A forward-thinking technology-driven organisation is seeking a Junior/Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands-on DevOps professional who is passionate about automation, cloud infrastructure, and building reliable, scalable systems that support modern software delivery.

The successful candidate will work closely with software development teams to enhance deployment processes, improve system reliability, and drive continuous improvement across infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable software delivery.
Manage and improve cloud-based infrastructure (AWS or similar environments).
Support and administer Linux-based server environments.
Work with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Drive automation initiatives across deployment and infrastructure processes.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimisation strategies.
Enhance system reliability, scalability, and availability across production environments.
Collaborate closely with development teams to streamline release cycles and improve deployment efficiency.
Support incident response and contribute to root cause analysis and resolution.

Essential Experience & Skills

1–4+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline setup, maintenance, and optimisation.
Hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms (Azure / GCP advantageous).
Solid Linux server administration skills.
Experience with containerisation tools such as Docker.
Exposure to Kubernetes or other orchestration platforms (advantageous).
Understanding of monitoring tools and performance optimisation practices.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on system reliability.
Ability to work effectively with software development and engineering teams.

Preferred Experience

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
Experience with logging and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.).
Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar).
Familiarity with Git-based workflows.
Exposure to microservices architectures.
