Our client is a well-established industrial chemical supplier based in Benoni, servicing clients across various sectors with specialised cleaning solutions and equipment. Role Overview
This is a junior-level technical role focused on supporting equipment installations, maintenance, and repairs both on-site and at client premises. The role involves a combination of electrical work, basic plumbing, stock management, and travel. You’ll also take ownership of the storeroom and occasionally assist with planning and supervision of maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance on plant equipment and machinery
- Install and maintain equipment at client sites (travel and sleep-outs required)
- Perform electrical maintenance on industrial dishwashers and chemical pumps
- Support maintenance planning and basic supervision of tasks
- Take responsibility for stock control and storeroom upkeep
- Attend technical and safety training as required
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ hands-on maintenance/technical experience
- Technical College qualification preferred
- Electrical experience essential; plumbing knowledge is a bonus
- Driver’s licence and own transport to work (non-negotiable)
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written)
- Must be a self-starter, non-smoker, non-drinker, and team-oriented
- Strong integrity and accountability
