Junior Web Developer

Our client, a vibrant and diverse in-house digital marketing consulting agency that provides digital marketing services to companies in the agricultural, food and tourism sector, is looking for a Junior Website Developer to join their team based in Pyramid, North of Pretoria. You will be developing a wide variety of assets for a variety of brands in the agricultural, food and tourism sectors as well as form part of the creative and marketing teams where Social Media Marketing experience will be great.

If you have strong knowledge of WordPress (specifically Divi Page Builder), HTML, PHP, databases, web hosting, and paid media, or you are interested to grow in these areas, then we are looking for you.

The position requires a bi-lingual person that is fully fluent in English and Afrikaans, with a valid drivers license and own reliable transport. 

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and update flexible and well-structured websites using WordPress.
• Work and collaborate with the rest of the creative team.
• Overall responsibility for understanding design briefs and converting them into appealing, highly usable interfaces.
• Diagnose and fix website bugs and issues.
• Manage multiple Google Ads accounts including Google Shopping and Google Hotels.
• Managing social media accounts as and when needed.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Design, or a related field/substantial experience in the field.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CSS, PHP, databases, and web hosting.
• Strong understanding of search engine optimisation (SEO).
• Experience using Google Analytics (UA & GA4), Google Search Console, Google Data Studio, Google Merchant Center, Google Hotels, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads.
• Experience using graphic design software such as Photoshop & Canva.
• Social media marketing experience will be to your advantage.
• Portfolio/links to websites that you’ve built in the past.
