Junior Technical Assistant/Tester (Century City, Cape Town)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Roles & Outcomes:

vDevice and software testing.

vDocumentation / Technical Authoring.

vProblem Solving.

vProvide technical support to Developers.

vSystems Testing.

vUser Support.

vFirmware updating and testing.

vTechnical system building.

vCustomer device testing.

vFast construction and testing of new tech ideas.

Education & Qualifications:

vDiploma in IT or related field beneficial.

vExcellent work ethics, punctual, enthusiastic and willing to learn.

vFluent in spoken and written English.

vTeam player with the ability to work in small teams.

v

Experience:

vBuilding and installing of PCs and other equipment.

vElectronics knowledge beneficial.

vKnowledge / Experience with hardware platforms; raspberry PI etc.

vBasic linux command line scripting knowledge / Bash scripting.

vSome ethernet knowledge (IP setup, switches setup, using tools like wireshark for packet dissection, etc.)

vBasic programming with Python and other languages.
