SUMMARY:
My client in the tax services industry is seeking a Junior Tax Consultant to join the team in George, Western Cape

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• BCom Honours Tax degree with 0 to 2 years tax experience including and understanding of intricacies of tax law and its application
• Responsibilities will include the following:
• Liaising with SARS on behalf of clients;
• Completion and submission of tax returns (i.e. ITR12, VAT201, IRP6);
• Attend to and advise clients on VAT and personal income tax queries;
• Completion and submission of tax clearance certificate applications;
• Tax research;
• Preparation and submission of objections, appeals and suspension of payments with SARS; and
• Registration and deregistration of individuals for income tax, and e-Filing

Attending to client specific matters which include, but are not limited to the following:

• Tax Return preparation and submissions;
• SARS calculation preparations;
• Liaising with SARS contact centre on various matters;
• Uploading supporting documents;
• Lodging of objections and appeals;
• Lodging of SARS Complaints;
• Assisting the manager and managing partner with any ancillary services.
