POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for a Junior Systems Administrator to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Providing onsite and remote technical support in a timely and efficient manner.
* Liaising with service providers to ensure the availability of key systems and services.
* Managing and supporting operating systems - Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, Windows 7, Windows 10, MacOS, Android and Windows CE.
* Managing, securing, supporting Microsoft services including DNS, AD, DHCP, WSUS, print servers, file and storage services, GPO and IIS.
* Managing and securing Citrix Virtual Apps and desktop environment.
* Managing Fortinet firewalls for VPN, SDWan and internet security.
* Deploying and maintaining business virtualisation environment. VMware ESX server infrastructure, vSphere 5.x, 6.x, 7X in a highly available 24/7 environment.
* Maintaining and deploying fibre channel attached storage solutions with RAID, NFS, CIFS and iSCSI.
* Maintaining and administrating LAN / WLAN / WAN / VLAN routing of network infrastructure components and services, ensuring appropriate security measures are in place.
* Managing and supporting cloud technologies including, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, SharePoint, SAAS, IAAS and PAAS systems.
* Creating, maintaining, testing, and executing a disaster recovery plan.
* Ensuring all end-user and server systems are appropriately backed up.
* Creating, requesting, and presenting technical specifications and requirements for purchasing new devices and solutions.
* Coordinating with vendors and suppliers for IT purchases, solutions, maintenance, and support.
* Applying system updates, patches, and configuration changes according to established procedures and best practices.
* Configuring and maintaining network devices and solutions including Cisco, Aruba, Mikrotik, Fortinet and Ubiquity.
* Developing and maintaining Business Intelligence reporting on various business systems and data.
* Developing business solutions using PowerApps, Power Automate and PowerBi to automate manual business processes.
* Managing and supporting CCTV systems.
* Overseeing business data centres, ensuring the establishment and maintenance of cooling, fault tolerance and disaster recovery strategies.

Required Skills

4 Years of Experience

Qualifications

* Matric.
* MCSE or equivalent.

* Azure Solution Architect (Advantageous) .
* Cisco CCNA (Advantageous).
* 3-4 Years Experience.
* Own transport with driver’s license.
