SUMMARY:
A well-known bakery and cafe chain is looking for a JUNIOR SUPERVISOR
POSITION INFO:
As Junior Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in the smooth daily running of the café from ensuring excellent service and supporting the front-of-house team to maintaining a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere. You’ll work closely with management, lead by example on the floor, and help deliver a consistently positive guest experience.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Supervise, motivate, and support the service team during busy shifts
- Provide warm, efficient, and professional customer service at all times
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues with a proactive, friendly approach
- Manage cash-ups, till operations, and basic administration
- Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and smooth service flow throughout the café
- Assist with staff training, shift planning, and operational support
- Ensure consistent product quality and adherence to brand standards
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or senior waitron role within a café or restaurant environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong customer service orientation with a positive, can-do attitude
- Organised, reliable, and able to multitask under pressure
- Passionate about healthy food, sustainability, and community
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends
