SUMMARY:
Junior Supervisor – Petrochemical Industry (Stikland Industrial, Cape Town) R10,000 – R14,000 PM
POSITION INFO:
Seeking a supervisor who will be responsible for Civil and Mechanical activities during projects operating in the petrochemical industry.
The successful candidate will need to implement projects, monitor project progression and keep projects on track. The position also requires compliance according to codes, costs, quality, safety and time.
Requirements:
- Matric Certificate / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the petrochemical industry
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
- Proficient in both Afrikaans and English
- Knowledge of industrial construction practices, environmental and safety requirements
- Knowledge or experience in installing fuel storage tanks
- Knowledge of interpreting drawings
- Ability to set out levels
- Knowledge of layer works
- Finishing of concrete surfaces
- Ability to complete safety documents and permits
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Oversee and supervise onsite construction
- Manage a team and sub-contractors to complete a project on schedule and within budget
- Supervise civil works relating to above-and underground tank installations, maintenance and revamp of the entire forecourt at the retail service stations
- Perform all inspections in conjunction with the QC Inspector and release works before being covered up with concrete.
