JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client, in the medical care industry, based in Somerset West, is looking for a Junior Staff Nurse.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

To supervise the nursing staff and Carers for home-based care patients.
Will need to do home visits to various patients.
Will be the link between the personnel and the clients / patients.
Will need to manage the WhatsApp groups and reporting for the Carers.

Requirements:

Must be a Registered Nurse with a valid annual registration with the SA Nursing Council (SANC).
At least 2 to 3 years’ working experience in the industry.
Must have previous working experience in community work and home care.
Knowledgeable and skilled with regards to elderly care and medication rounds.
Good wound care knowledge and skills.
Infection control experience, specifically with regards to Covid 19 regulations.
Computer literacy in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Proficiency in writing reports and good administration skills.
Must be a strong leader with supervising skills.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English.
Must have your own transport / car.

Working hours: Mondays to Fridays from 08:00 to 17:00 and after hours on request.

Area: Somerset West area.

Salary offered: R20 000 – R25 000 per month (depending on experience).

Starting date: As soon as possible.
