Graduate / Junior Test Analyst required for a global software development company in Edinburgh.
The company are a small organisation punching well above their weight in terms of amount and type of clients. They have developed both a web and mobile product offering that is being used by some of the biggest players in their industry!
The technical team is fairly small - around seven folk - so you'll be part of a close-knit, collaborative team where you can really see the impact of your role.
You'll be the sole Test Analyst in the company, but don't worry, you'll be heavily supported by the Developers and DevOps Engineer who have be carrying out testing until now. This is a great opportunity to take on responsibility and develop best processes and practices (once you are comfortable and trained up!) that is rare so early in your technical career.
Day-to-day you'll be carrying out functional testing across their clients systems as well as User Acceptance Testing. You'll track and report on any issues found and work closely with the Developers on these issues. You might also work with clients directly on occasion, so strong communication skills are a must!
You'll have most of the following skills/experience:
**Experience with software testing (UAT, functional)
**Some experience with tracking software like Jira would be a bonus
**Git
**Relational databases like SQL
**Excel
There's lots of opportunities in this company and role to progress rapidly (both in terms of salary and responsibilities) and potential to complete certifications that could further your testing career. Once you are confident, you will have full ownership of the software testing.
This role is based in the Leith area of Edinburgh, and due to the training and learning required, the team would be keen for you to be in the office five days a week (although they can be flexible).
The salary on offer is up to £23,000, plus benefits.
