POSITION INFO:
Job Description:
Compile, update and review Risk Assessment
• Record and Investigate IOD’s, Report on RMA system.
• Compilation of SHE Stats for SHE Meetings.
• Assist with conducting & communicating Risk Assessments for the various processes.
• Conduct daily SHE walkabouts.
• Conduct weekly SHE tool box talks related to operational issues within the plant.
• Develop action plans and oversee closure of actions.
• Conduct Job Observations/ Behavioral Safety Observations.
• Communicate legal register to the applicable Department Heads.
• Developing, updating review and communicating of SHE policies and Procedures.
•Identify& order all SHE related Posters.
• Manage and control contractors.
• Conduct SHE Induction Internal staff.
• Monitor and ensure Fire equipment compliances.
Monitoring Compliance of employees & visitors to PPE site requirements.
• Update of Notice boards with SHE information and Stats.
• Conduct Contractor SHE Induction.
• Liaise with Site Security Company on Security Issues.
• Liaise with Waste Management contractor on Waste Removal
• Other ad hoc SHE duties
Job Requirements:
National Diploma/Degree Environmental Health/ Management/Safety Management.
• 1-3 years experience (automotive manufacturing environment will be advantageous)
• Good Computer Skills - MS Word, MS Power Point & MS Excel.
• Good knowledge of OHS Act & NEMA.
• Above average of written and verbal communication.
• Initiative, good problem solving & Attention to detail.
• Excellent time management.
• Quick learner and passionate.
• Strong organization skills
