SUMMARY:
Our client in the Insurance Industry has an opportunity available for a Junior Risk Control Engineer to be based in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

MATRIC.
Preferred: 3 Year diploma / degree in operational risk management or equivalent technical engineering diploma / degree.
Advantage: Qualification in SHEQ.
Advantage: Full NQF 4 qualification (FAIS Short-term accredited).
Preferred: Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in risk assessments
Advantage: Short-term insurance experience.
Computer literacy (MS Office).
Knowledge of insurance and broking industry.
Basic understanding of OHS Act and National Building Regulations.

KPAs:

To produce risk engineering reports from site visits for the insurance market.
Preparation of risk control reports from site visits for identifying all aspects of operational risk compliance with local bylaws and regulations for the client.
South African and international regulatory frameworks for operational fire and safety risks
Preparation of risk control reports
Preparation of underwriting reports
