POSITION INFO:

Junior Risk Consultant/Claims Admin

Sandton

R15 000 – R17 000 pm neg.

Drive the formulation and implementation of the risk model and life claims philosophy, analysis of claims and other data to recommend and implement changes to the risk model, sanctioning new risk strategies, managing relationships and policies with the reinsurers, creating training material and educate risk consultants on industry trends, standards and risk management skills, assisting with the definition of operational processes related to risk management. Role may change over time, depending on performance and the business’s needs.

Work closely with our other business processing teams including policy alterations, finance etc.

Report to the Processing Team Leader who is accountable for Individual life underwriting front office functions.

Qualifications and experience

You must have passed Grade 12 / Matric with Biology, Science, English and Mathematics.

Relevant tertiary qualification: Medical related qualification will be beneficial.

2-3 years’ experience in life claims and administration industry. Call centre experience would be beneficial.

Knowledge of long-term insurance industry in underwriting

Must have an understanding of the Individual life insurance product i.e. Life cover, Permanent Disability cover, Temp Income Cover and Critical Illness

Desired Experience & Qualification
