Calling all Junior Retail Account Managers!

POSITION INFO:

My client a well-known and leading company based in Cape Town requires a Junior Retail Account Manager to join their team.

This position will report to the Senior Account manager.

Purpose of the job.

To add value to the services that the company provide, applying learning from the group and develop innovative new ideas and value adding techniques.

Requirements:

• A relevant diploma / degree (Preferably in Marketing)
• 2 to 4 years Retail Account experience
• Strong sales experience.
• POS knowledge and experience in liaising with Design Studios
• Insight into the functions of the creative and production processes for advertising.
• Strong business acumen especially to resolve issues and problems.
• Strong understanding of systems and procedures.
• Must be an all level communicator
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team.
• Must be detail orientated
• Good coordinating and general categorizing skills
• Must be able to handle pressure
• Must be willing to work overtime at short notice
• Must be committed to maintaining a good customer relationship with the client (& internal) by investigating and resolving customer problems, requests and suggestions
• SA Citizens only
• Must be criminal clear
• Must reside in the greater Cape Town area or be willing to relocate at own cost

Duties:

Customer Service & Satisfaction / Building Client Relationships

• Assistance by investigating and resolving client problems, suggestions & insuring fast response to client requests.
• Adhere to client deadlines and liaise with all parties on problems and solutions.
• Attend briefing and production meetings with relevant parties involved.
• Maintaining good customer relationships with clients and promoting sales of the group resources.

Innovation

• Provide the customer with dynamic and innovative solutions which will result in cost saving.
• Keeping abreast of technology trends in order to provide innovative advice.
• Applying innovative new ideas, value added techniques, and ongoing strategic maintenance of the accounts.

Quality assurance

• To conduct all necessary quality testing to the agreed benchmark

Instore / POP / New Projects

• Conceptualise and document briefs
• Input correct information into PrintVis
• Traffic jobs through various departments to achieve deadlines
• Regular instore audits
• Translate and capture briefs into the studio and drive prototypes and samples through various processes to ensure that the customer brief has been follow
• Working closely with internal production teams and relevant suppliers
• Instore testing and application of prototypes, facilitate client approval, brief into production and drive finished product
• Applying innovative new ideas
• Assess that the job has been quoted on the correct technology and liaise with sales support.

Operations / Project Management

• Fast decision making and setting priorities within the work flow to ensure tight deadlines are met

Production Management and Quality Assurance

• Ensure that all quality measures are in place to guarantee customer’s satisfaction and security of intellect

Quotes

• Receive written specs
• Brief jobs with Senior Estimator
• Ensure quotes are implemented timeously from client to Estimator

Manage work through internal systems and admin

Research and Development

Financial

• Cost Management
• Invoicing procedures
• Manage feedback on month end
• Ensure invoices, orders and queries are sorted out to ensure timeous payment
