SUMMARY:
An opportunity is available for a Junior Research Assistant to be based in the Cape Town area.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:
  • A relevant Bachelor’s / Diploma or Certification
  • 2 to 3 years’ working experience conducting research, preferable within HR / Recruitment / Consulting industries
  • MS Office skills with a specific focus on Excel and PowerPoint – intermediate to advanced
  • Third language will be an advantage
  • Attentive with an eye for detail
  • Excellent communication and persuasion abilities to work effectively with clients and candidates
  • Systems orientated, deadline driven and willing to work under extreme pressure
  • Capable of planning, organizing, filing, and administration for assignments
  • Performance and objective driven individual
  • Time management and action orientated
  • Demonstrates eagerness to acquire necessary technical knowledge, skills and judgment to accomplish results or to serve customers’ needs effectively
  • Demonstrate desire and drive to acquire knowledge and skills necessary to perform job more effectively
  • Technology Savvy – being able to identify most efficiently use of currently technology and systems
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support project team members with end-to-end project requirements and administration
  • Compilation of presentation on PowerPoint
  • Compiling project packs for Consultants and Managers
  • Provide high quality comprehensive research
  • Responsible for cold calling, sourcing and mapping
  • Conduct quantitative research in relative markets
  • Remain abreast and up to date on developments in the industry and related markets
  • Understand the needs of clients to target research effectively
  • Information Management through collecting data and information to analyse and translate it into knowledge
  • Use relevant information for planning and decision making
  • Distributing information to relevant audiences by using a variety of information and communication technologies
  • Identify potential opportunities to improve efficiencies for internal systems, processes and technology at minimum cost
  • Evaluate information to develop, implement, measure and improve work methods, procedures and systems
  • Appreciation and appropriate use of standards, deadlines, follow-up, monitoring mechanism
  • Adhere to controls over processes when driving toward goals and objectives
  • Provide team and office support
