SUMMARY:
Our leading client in the Logistics, Distribution and Warehousing space, is looking to hire an experienced Junior Quality and Safety Inspector. The successful incumbent will be responsible for running tests, keeping a record of defects, analysing products, and overseeing procedures. Secure this amazing opportunity today ?.

POSITION INFO:

The Ideal Candidate

Must have a minimum of +- 4 years Junior Quality and Safety Inspector.
Must have ISO9001 training and experience.
Minimum of one years’ experience in quality control

Duties include:

Approval of incoming material by confirming specifications and conducting visual inspections and sampling.
Quarantining of non-conforming product.
Monitor the operations for quality and safety to ensure they meet the approved systems, communicating any required changes to the Warehouse Manager.
Monitor vessel discharges. Produce a vessel discharge report.
Monitor loading and off-loading of containers and vehicles, ensuring that proper quality inspections are conducted.
Coaching employees on proper inspection procedures.
Maintaining Records of Testing
Maintain detailed records of the testing that’s been carried out, as well as relevant additional information, and various metrics such as the number of defective products produced each day.
Inspect operating electronic inspection equipment to ensure that all necessary procedures and products are inspected to a high standard.
Creating Reports for Quality Manager
From the data collected from inspections, quality control inspectors create reports for the quality manager of the company to highlight issues, detail the number of defective products being produced, and explain where improvements can be made.
Monitor operational areas, ensuring they meet health and safety compliance, and check that all materials meet the necessary quality, health, and safety standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirement – Certificate / Diploma in Food Technology /Food Science Qualification
