SUMMARY:
Leading Speciality Chemical company, based on the East Rand, has a new opportunity for a Junior Project Accountant (EE) to join their team. The purpose of the role is to manage cross-BU or country projects; assist with Board of Directors Secretarial requirements, compliancy in Distributor setup in Sub-Sahara Africa, assisting with legal tasks and a back-up for Finance and Accounting functions.

POSITION INFO:

Position requires a candidate with a completed B.Com (Accounting), or a Legal Degree with a Post-graduate Degree in Finance, coupled with 5 years related working experience in Finance. Knowledge of IFRS, VAT and Tax Act as well as solid and recent SAP (FI) experience essential. Duties include: Projects in Administration / Legal / Finance, BEE Project Lead, Assets, Capex, Treasury position back-up, accounting functions up to T/B / reporting assistance; de-registration and registration of entities; assisting the Head of Finance and Senior Accountant with the co-ordination of all Distributor and Agency due diligence as well as assisting compliance and ethics trainings and campaigns, assisting with various legal tasks.
